De eerste Regiowedstrijd van 2025 wordt georganiseerd door KARZV De Hoop en vindt plaats op zaterdag 5 april.

Programma:
Ontvangst vanaf 13.00 uur.
Wedstrijden van 14.00 tot 16.00 uur
Daarna bekendmaking winnaars, prijsuitreiking en borrel!

Doelgroep: beginnende en recreatieve roeiers vanaf S1/S2 bevoegdheid die het leuk vinden om eens in wedstrijdverband te roeien.

Hoe werkt het?
• Vorm een ploegje voor je gewenste boottype (C2x+, C4x+ of 4x+).
• Je team kan bestaan uit dames, heren of mix. (Mix team is minimaal 50% dames).
• Het gaat vooral om het plezier tijdens de voorbereidingen en bij de wedstrijden.
• Je neemt het op tegen teams uit de regio Amsterdam en omstreken.

Doe je ook mee? Het kan zomaar jouw opstap zijn naar grotere wedstrijden zoals Novembervieren, de Head of the River en de Heineken Roeivierkamp.

Regional competition 1/5, Saturday April 5th, 2025 at De Hoop

The first Regional Competition of 2025 is organized by KARZV De Hoop and will take place on Saturday April 5th.

Program:
Reception from 1 pm
Matches from 2:00 pm to 4:00 pm
Followed by announcement of winners, awards ceremony and drinks!

Target group: novice and recreational rowers from S1/S2 qualifications who enjoy finding out how much fun it is to row competitively.

What should you do?
• Form a team for your desired boat type (C2x+, C4x+ or 4x+).
• Your team can consist of women, men or a mix. (Mix team is at least 50% ladies).
• It’s mainly about having fun during the preparations and during the competitions.
• You compete against teams from the Amsterdam region and surrounding areas.

Would you like to join us? It could just be your stepping stone to bigger competitions such as Novembervieren, the Head of the River and the Heineken Roeivierkamp.

Information and registration for Willem 3 teams (no later than March 28, 2025) at regioroeien@willem3.nl.
You will be added as a member of the WhatsApp group of W3 Regional Competition rowers. Information that is important for the competitions is shared in this group.
You can also register as an individual W3 rower. Search for possible teammates within the members of the WhatsApp group. Or we try to link you to other individual participants.

Voor roeiers vanaf S1 bevoegdheid worden dit jaar weer de regiowedstrijden georganiseerd. De wedstrijden hebben een vriendschappelijk karakter en zijn bedoeld voor beginnende en recreatieve roeiers die het leuk vinden eens een wedstrijd te roeien. Het gaat vooral om het plezier!
In elke categorie krijgt de winnende ploeg een taart, en bij de finale een blik.

Leden van burgerroeiverenigingen in de Amsterdamse regio van Haarlem tot Muiden en van Zaandam tot Hilversum zijn van harte welkom om mee te doen.

Aanmelden
Je kunt je als Willem 3 team uiterlijk 1 week vooraf voor elke wedstrijd aanmelden via regioroeien@willem3.nl.
Aanmelden als individuele W3 roeier mag ook, dan proberen we je te koppelen aan andere individuele deelnemers.
De inschrijving moet voor elke wedstrijd opnieuw worden gedaan. Je mag aan één, meerdere of alle wedstrijden meedoen.
De kosten voor de wedstrijden zijn 5,- euro per roeier.

Voorbereiden
• Vorm een ploegje voor je gewenste boottype (C2x+, C4x+ of 4x+).
• Je team kan bestaan uit dames, heren of mix.
• Verzin een leuke ploegnaam voor je team.
• Ga lekker trainen, je kunt altijd advies vragen bij de instructeurs van Willem 3. En bij oud-deelnemers van de regiowedstrijden. Zij weten als geen ander waar je op moet letten en hoe leuk het is om mee te doen.
• Een bevoegde en geoefende stuur is verplicht.

Meedoen betekent
• Veel roeiplezier, bij de voorbereiding en tijdens de wedstrijd.
• In competitie roeien, je krachten meten met gelijken.
• Een spannende finale wedstrijd.

Regional Competitions Calendar 2025

Would you like to try rowing competition? Then register for the Regional Competitions!

The Regional competitions will be organized for rowers from S1 qualifications.
The competitions have a friendly nature and are intended for novice and recreational rowers who would like to try rowing a competition. It’s all about having fun!
In each category the winning team receives a cake, and in the final match a medal.

Members of citizen rowing clubs in the Amsterdam region from Haarlem to Muiden and from Zaandam to Hilversum are very welcome to participate.

To register

Hebben jullie ook alweer zo’n zin in het toerseizoen? De Willem 3 Toercommissie heeft voor 2025 een gevarieerd programma met veel mooie tochten samengesteld.

Zondag 13 april Nieuwe-ledentocht
Een middag stadstocht van plm 12 km voor onze nieuwe leden, op persoonlijke uitnodiging.
Een mooie gelegenheid om de stad te ontdekken vanaf het water en andere W3-leden te leren kennen. Na afloop: gezelligheid en hapjes in onze Sociëteit.

Zondag 11 mei Lentetocht
Deze prachtige tocht van ongeveer 30 km in en/of rond Amsterdam is geschikt voor alle roeiers met een redelijke conditie vanaf niveau klasse 1. Je bent tot halverwege de middag onderweg. Na afloop gezellig samen iets drinken bij Willem 3.

Zaterdag 28 juni Kortste Nacht tocht
Avond/nachttocht van 29 km rondom de Ronde Hoep Polder, georganiseerd door de Amsterdamse Roeiverenigingen. Halverwege de route is er een picknick. Je ziet de zon ondergaan vanaf de Waver. In het donker terug over de Amstel langs Nes en Ouderkerk. Nazit met soep, broodjes en gezelligheid.

Zaterdag en zondag 12 en 13 juli Zomertocht
Een tweedaags avontuurlijk roeiweekend door het landelijke gebied ten zuiden van Amsterdam. Aan het einde van dag 1 heb je de mogelijkheid om lekker te ontspannen, bij voorbeeld met wandelen of zwemmen. Naar keuze zelf kokkerellen of lekker gaan eten in een restaurantje. Er zijn twee schutsluizen op de route en een overnachting met uitzicht op de Vinkeveense plassen.

Zondag 31 augustus Magnum
Prestatietocht i.s.m. de KNRB. Deze prachtige tocht van 58 km gaat over de Gaasp, de Vecht, de Angstel en de Amstel en heeft twee keer een begeleide oversteek van het Amsterdam-Rijnkanaal.
We verzamelen om 8.00 uur. De meeste ploegen zijn de hele dag onderweg. Je kunt KNRB Marathonpunten verdienen. Geschikt voor geoefende ploegroeiers.

Zaterdag 27 september Lichtjestocht
Einde middag, begin avond. Deze afwisselende stadstocht van ongeveer 16 km is populair bij veel roeiverenigingen van buiten Amsterdam die zich vaak massaal aanmelden. De deelnemers vrolijken hun boot en/of zichzelf zo mooi mogelijk op met lampjes (zelf meenemen). Na afloop zijn er hapjes in
onze Sociëteit en is er een prijsuitreiking voor de mooist versierde boot.

Zondag 5 oktober KYC tocht
Know Your City! Deze stadstocht voert je gedurende de middag langs verschillende toeristische hoogtepunten in Amsterdam. De tocht is speciaal bedoeld om niet-Nederlandstalige en Nederlandstalige W3-ers de kans te geven om elkaar te ontmoeten en ondertussen van onze stad te genieten vanaf het water. Nazit met een eenvoudige maaltijd in de W3 Sociëteit.

Zaterdag 9 november Snerttocht
We roeien een late middagtocht van ongeveer 16 km door Amsterdam in avondsfeer. Ook voor deze tocht decoreren de deelnemers hun boot en/of zichzelf met lichtjes (zelf meenemen) en is er een prijs te winnen voor de mooist versierde combinatie. Halverwege is er een verrassing en na afloop is er de beroemde zelfgemaakte snert (vlees of vega) in onze Sociëteit.

Zondag 7 en/of 14 december Amsterdam Light Festival
Afhankelijk van de mogelijkheden organiseren we één of twee avond tochten langs de kunstwerken van het Amsterdam Light Festival. Uitsluitend voor leden van Willem 3.

Zondag 4 januari Nieuwjaarstocht 2026
Een goed begin van het nieuwe jaar! Eerst lekker samen genieten op het water tijdens een korte stadstocht. Na afloop gezellig borrelen bij de Nieuwjaarsreceptie.

Willem 3 Tour Calendar 2025

Are you also looking forward to the touring season? The Willem 3 Tour Committee has put together a varied program with many beautiful tours for 2025.

Sunday April 13 New members tour
An afternoon city tour of approximately 12 km for our new members, by personal invitation.
A great opportunity to discover the city from the water and get to know other W3 members. Afterwards: fun and snacks in our Bar.

Sunday May 11 Lentetocht
This beautiful tour of approximately 30 km in and/or around Amsterdam is suitable for all rowers with a reasonable fitness level from class 1. You will be on the road until mid-afternoon. Afterwards, have a nice drink together at Willem 3.

Saturday June 28 Kortste Nacht Tocht
Evening/night tour of 29 km around the Ronde Hoep Polder, organized by the Amsterdam Rowing Clubs. There is a picnic halfway along the route. You can watch the sun set from your boat on the Waver River. In the dark back across the Amstel past Nes and Ouderkerk. Afterwards: soup, sandwiches and fun.

Saturday and Sunday July 12 and 13 Zomertocht
A two-day adventurous rowing weekend through the rural area south of Amsterdam. At the end of day 1 you will have the opportunity to relax, for example by walking or swimming. You can cook your own food or have a nice meal in a restaurant. There are two locks on the route and an overnight stay with a view of the Vinkeveense plassen.

Sunday August 31 Magnum
Marathon tour in collaboration with the KNRB. This beautiful 58 km tour takes you over the Gaasp, the Vecht, the Angstel and the Amstel and includes two guided crossings of the Amsterdam-Rhine Canal.
We gather at 8 am. Most teams are on the water all day. You can earn KNRB Marathon points. Suitable for experienced team rowers.

Saturday, September 27 Lichtjestocht
End of afternoon, beginning of evening. This varied city tour of approximately 16 km is popular with many rowing clubs from outside Amsterdam, which often register en masse. The participants brighten up their boat and/or themselves as beautifully as possible with lights (bring your own). There will be snacks afterwards in our Bar and there will be an award ceremony for the most beautifully decorated boat.

Sunday October 5 KYC tocht
Know Your City! This city tour takes you past various tourist highlights in Amsterdam during the afternoon. The tour is specially designed to give non-Dutch-speaking and Dutch-speaking W3-ers the opportunity to meet each other and enjoy our city from the water. Afterwards: simple meal in the W3 Bar.

Saturday November 9 Snerttocht
We row a late afternoon tour of approximately 16 km through Amsterdam in the evening atmosphere. For this trip too, participants decorate their boat and/or themselves with lights (bring your own) and there is a prize to be won for the most beautifully decorated combination. There is a surprise halfway through and afterwards there is the famous homemade ‘Snert’ (pea soup, meat or vegetarian) in our Bar.

Sunday December 7 and/or 14 Amsterdam Light Festival
Depending on the possibilities, we organize one or two evening tours along the works of art of the Amsterdam Light Festival. Only for members of Willem 3.

Sunday January 4 New Year’s Tour 2026
A good start to the new year! First enjoy rowing together during a short city tour. Afterwards, enjoy a nice drink at the New Year’s reception.

Op 8 december vertrokken wij met 10 boten vanaf Willem 3 naar de verlichte binnenstad. Vooraf hadden wij de nodige stress of wij wel 15 kilometer konden roeien in het donker met de harde wind. En of het tijdig slippen onder de vele bruggen wel zou lukken! Het eerste donkere stuk over de Amstel hadden sommige roeiers hun boten prachtig verlicht alsof zij ook al onderdeel waren van het licht festival, terwijl andere boten minimaal verlicht waren als onderzeeboten om niet te veel de aandacht te trekken.

Vanaf de Amstel genoten wij van de romantiek van onze mooi verlichte stad. Vanuit de roeiboten leek de stad een soort verlichte poppenkast: verlichte deuren en ramen van al die prachtige grachtenpanden met schitterende kerstversieringen. Onderweg passeerden wij mooi verlichte kunstwerken: van kleurrijke monden, tot verspringende vogels en abstracte kunstwerken. Ook een aantal kanovaarders sloot zich aan bij ons konvooi. Als een grote kolonne roeiden wij langs de objecten, van light peddle tot spoelhaal naar normale haal.

Sommige boten begrepen niet helemaal het juiste tempo door de binnenstad en wilden er zelfs in de stad nog een wedstrijdje van maken. Gelukkig gaf de ‘Kopboot’ het juiste tempo aan en moesten de anderen zich hieraan houden. Eenmaal weer op de Amstel kon iedereen in eigen tempo terug roeien naar Willem 3 waar een heerlijke linzensoep met glühwein klaarstond.

Wij hebben heerlijk geroeid en waren zeer onder de indruk van de goede organisatie door onze roeivereniging. Chapeau!

Retrospective: W3 Amsterdam Light Festival, Sunday December 8, 2024

On December 8, we left with 10 boats from Willem 3 to the illuminated city center. Beforehand we had some stress about whether we would be able to row 15 kilometers in the dark with the strong wind. And whether it would be possible to slip under the many bridges in time! During the first dark part of the Amstel, some rowers had beautifully decorated their boats with lights as if they were already part of the light festival, while other boats were minimally lit like submarines so as not to attract too much attention.

From the Amstel we enjoyed the romance of our beautifully illuminated city. From the rowing boats, the city looked like a kind of illuminated puppet show: illuminated doors and windows of all those beautiful canal houses with beautiful Christmas decorations. Along the way we passed beautifully illuminated works of art: from colorful mouths to jumping birds and abstract works of art. A number of canoeists also joined our convoy. We rowed past the objects as a large column, from light paddle to bobbin stroke to normal stroke.

Some boats did not quite understand the right pace through the city center and even wanted to turn it into a competition in the city. Fortunately, the ‘Kopboot’ set the right pace and the others had to stick to it. Once back on the Amstel, everyone could row at their own pace to Willem 3 where a delicious lentil soup with mulled wine was ready.

We had a great time rowing and were very impressed by the good organization by our rowing club.

Route en roeiniveau:
Deze tocht van 15km langs de lichtkunstwerken, door Amsterdam in kerstsfeer, is geschikt voor geoefende (ploeg)roeiers vanaf klasse 1 en zij-instromers, die in staat zijn om 2 uur achter elkaar door te roeien.
Een bevoegde en geoefende captain per boot, die ervaring heeft met sturen in het donker, is verplicht!

Spelregels:
De organisatie van het Amsterdam Light Festival en de gemeente Amsterdam geven ons toestemming om op zondag 8 december 2024 in georganiseerd verenigingsverband en binnen bepaalde voorwaarden, met een beperkt aantal boten, deze tocht te roeien inclusief een deel van de Herengracht waar een spierkrachtverbod geldt.

On Sunday, December 8, 2024, the Tour Committee is organizing a rowing trip to light artworks from the Amsterdam Light Festival. We gather at 6:00 pm. Would you like to join us?

To register*:
Register yourself or your team no later than December 4, 2024 via toercommissie@willem3.nl, stating ‘ALF December 2024’. Plus
(a) your name(s),
(b) mobile telephone number(s),
(c) your rowing class(es),
(d) perhaps your preference for a wherry or Cx+ boot.

When registering a team, please also provide the email addresses of your team members.
After registration you will receive a confirmation email.
Registrations will be processed in order of receipt.

*This tour is only open to members of Willem 3.

Costs:
Participating costs € 15 per person, including a welcome drink at Willem 3. And afterwards a small warm-up to eat and drink.

Please transfer the amount to account NL75 RABO 0106 6517 57 in the name of: R.V. Willem 3 stating your name or the name of your team if you pay for the entire team. And mention ‘ALF December 2024’.

Route and rowing level:
This 15km tour along the light artworks, through Amsterdam in a Christmas atmosphere, is suitable for experienced (team) rowers with at least class 1 and lateral entrants who are able to row for 2 hours straight.
A qualified and trained captain per boat, who has experience steering in the dark, is mandatory!

Rules:
The organization of the Amsterdam Light Festival and the municipality of Amsterdam give us permission to row this tour on Sunday, December 8, 2024, in an organized club context and within certain conditions, with a limited number of boats, including a part of the Herengracht where a muscle strength ban applies.

Beste Willem 3-ers,

Ondanks dat Dè lange afstandsklassieker pas geroeid wordt in maart volgend jaar, zijn we nu al druk op zoek naar vrijwilligers voor de Communicatiecommissie.

De Head of the River Amstel zal in 2025 worden geroeid op 8 en 9 maart. Voor, tijdens en na de wedstrijd communiceren we volop met de deelnemers, toeschouwers en omwonenden over de wedstrijd en hier kunnen we nog wat hulp gebruiken.

Waar zijn we naar op zoek:

• Social media specialist die het leuk vindt om inspirerende content te maken en te plaatsen.
• Tekstschrijver die het heerlijk vindt om mooie verhalen te vertellen, interviews te houden en
  te verwerken en op die manier de Head nog levendiger te maken.
• Graphic designer die ons helpt om alle documenten en merchandise artikelen van de Head vorm te geven en te zorgen dat de wedstrijd als een sterk merk naar buiten wordt gebracht. Ook het op de juiste manier promoten van eventuele sponsoren wordt hieronder verstaan.

Goed nieuws! We gaan ploeg roeien door Amsterdam in avondsfeer.

Alle Willem 3 leden met klasse 1 en hoger zijn welkom om mee te doen.

Wanneer: Elke dinsdag van 19.00 – 20.45 uur in november en december 2024.

We roeien in principe een avondtocht van anderhalf uur.

Wil je liever overdag roeien? De sessies op zondagochtend 11.00 uur zijn ook nog steeds beschikbaar.

Aan ‘Komt u maar’ roeiers met klasse 2 of hoger wordt gevraagd om af en toe als captain mee te gaan om het roeien mogelijk te maken voor deelnemers die nog niet zelfstandig op pad kunnen.

W3 ‘Come on’ team rowing in the evening atmosphere, winter 2024

Good news! We will be team rowing through Amsterdam in evening atmosphere.

All Willem 3 members with class 1 and higher are welcome to participate.

When: Every Tuesday from 7:00 pm – 8:45 pm, in November and December 2024. 

In principle we row an evening trip of one and a half hours.

Would you rather row during the day? The Sunday morning sessions at 11 am are also still available.

‘Come on’ rowers with class 2 or higher are asked to occasionally come along as captain to make rowing possible for participants who cannot yet travel independently.

Zondag 13 oktober werd voor de tweede keer de Willem III “Know your City” tocht georganiseerd, nadat deze vorig jaar was geïnitieerd door Wouter Verster, speciaal voor de uitbreidende gemeenschap van expat-leden van onze vereniging. Maar niet alleen onze expat leden namen deel aan de tocht. Ook een ploeg van roeivereniging De Hoop nam deel, evenals een aantal andere Willem III-ers waaronder twee boten van onze scheehouten wherry liefhebbers en Ewoud de Boer en echtgenote Catelijne uit Brooklyn/Breukelen. Het weer was ons gunstig gezind: de zon kwam de gehele middag van achter de wolken vandaan.

De 13,5km toeristische route was keurig door Maaike Rittershaus uitgezet en voorzien van foto’s en schriftelijke informatie over markante en bezienswaardige punten waar we langs roeiden. Maar ook hindernissen moesten worden genomen, vooral bij het Rokin waar rederij De Kooij zijn thuishaven heeft en we langs de rondvaartboten moesten laveren, maar ook door smalle brug-onder-doorgangen en smalle sluisjes.

Maar eenmaal bij het Open Havenfront aangekomen waren we in ruimer water en konden we even rust houden bij een aanlegsteiger bij het kantoor van bol.com waar we genoten van de zelf meegenomen champignonsoep of even aanleggen bij restaurant Hannekes Boom. Daarna langs het Scheepvaart Museum richting Artis en langs de Oranje-Nassau Kazerne (het gebouw heeft een aaneengesloten van bakstenen gemetselde gevelwand van 278 meter lengte, gelegen bij de Muiderpoort (zie wikipedia).

Eenmaal terug op de Amstel wisten we ons op de terugweg naar onze thuishaven waar een borrel en een diner aan keurig gedekte tafels op ons wachtten.

Terwijl wij genoten van de roeitocht door de grachten had Berthie Schaad een heerlijke Boerenkoolstamppot met worst en uitgebakken spekjes bereid. En had Wouter Verster een Hete Bliksem voor ons bereid evenals een heerlijke chocolade mousse met vers fruit en verse munt decoratie. Maar ook Vesna Vukic was actief bij de organisatie betrokken, gesteund door ook Gerard Gerritsen die zijn steentje bijdroeg aan dit geslaagde evenement.

Flashback on the Know Your City rowing-tour

Last year Wouter Verster initiated the organization of the Know Your City rowing tour specially designed for our ever-growing community of expat members to show them the beauty of Amsterdam city, now seen from the middle of the canals. Sunday 13 October this event was organized for the second time, but not only our expats participated in this tour but also a team from rowing club De Hoop, and other Willem III members. We were blessed with dry and at times even sunny weather.

Rowing all the way along the Amstel river went smoothly, passing historic buildings like the Amstel Hotel, Theatre Carré, the old locks, the “Magere Brug” as well as the Hermitage and Stopera. The route-description prepared by Maaike Rittershaus not only provided pictures but also detailed information on these places of interest.

At the end of the Rokin canal the tourist boat company De Kooij have their home-port and here we had to navigate around their touring boats, followed by a long and narrow waterway under the street level and then under a narrow bridge into the Oudezijds Voorburgwal leading to the “red-light” district of Amsterdam. As the red lights were not yet switched on at that time of day our boats provided the foreign tourists some good shots of this historical and active part of Amsterdam’s old city. Probably it made them also understand why The Netherlands won so many medals at the rowing events of this year’s Olympic Games!

Once arrived at wider waterways like the ‘Open Havenfront, the old port of Amsterdam, we had time for a break and a drink and snack, like at Hannekes Boom restaurant.

While we were having a good time sightseeing on the canals of Amsterdam, back at the rowing club Berthie Schaad and Wouter Verster cooked us a delicious traditional Dutch dinner of “Boerenkool” and “Hete Bliksem”.

Upon arrival back home we had a lively get-together with drinks and followed by a seated dinner. Vesna Vukic ensured everything ran smoothly behind the scenes, assisted by Gerard Gerritsen who made himself helpful as well.

2024 Regional Matches Review: The whole experience was incredibly rewarding!

Both of us were excited to join the races, though we didn’t have a set team initially. We were randomly paired together (thanks Maaike) for our first race back in April, managing to fit in just one practice session beforehand. Despite this, race day turned out to be fantastic. We gave it our all and had a great time meeting members of other rowing clubs.

For our second race at the Amstel Rowing Club, we dedicated much more time to training. Although we didn’t have an opponent for our C2* Mix boat on race day, our enthusiasm remained high. Winning a cake at the end was a sweet bonus!

The season culminated with the regional finals at the Bosbaan. The stakes were higher—not just another cake but also a medal for the most points in our category. Racing on the Olympic course in Amsterdam’s Bos under perfect conditions—sunshine, no wind, and an enthusiastic crowd—was an experience to remember. We clinched victory by just one second ahead of the second-place team.

The day didn’t end there, though. We all gathered at Willem III for a celebratory dinner after the competition, which was the perfect way to wrap up the season. The atmosphere was warm and friendly, filled with laughter and stories of the races, everything accompanied by delicious food and drinks. It was a fitting end to an incredible journey.

From the early days of training to the thrill of competition, the entire experience was incredibly rewarding. We highly recommend anyone thinking about joining the regional races next year to take the plunge!

Terugblik Regiowedstrijden wedstrijden 2024: De hele ervaring was 100% de moeite waard!

We waren allebei enthousiast om aan de races deel te gaan nemen. Aanvankelijk hadden we geen vast team, we werden willekeurig aan elkaar gekoppeld (bedankt Maaike) voor onze eerste race in april, en slaagden erin om vooraf slechts één oefensessie in te plannen.
Desondanks bleek de racedag fantastisch. We hebben alles gegeven en het was geweldig. En het was erg leuk om leden van andere roeiverenigingen te ontmoeten.

Voor onze tweede race bij Roeivereniging De Amstel hebben we veel meer tijd aan de training besteed. Hoewel we op de racedag geen tegenstander hadden voor onze C2* Mix boot, bleven we erg enthousiast. Het winnen van een taart aan het eind was een zoete bonus!

Het seizoen werd afgesloten met de Regiofinale op de Bosbaan. De inzet was hoger: niet zomaar een taart, maar ook een medaille voor de meeste punten in onze categorie.
Racen op het Olympische parcours in het Amsterdamse Bos onder perfecte omstandigheden – zon, geen wind en een enthousiast publiek – was een ervaring om nooit te vergeten. We behaalden de overwinning met slechts één seconde voorsprong op het team op de tweede plaats.

Daarmee eindigde de dag nog niet. Na de wedstrijd kwamen we allemaal bijeen bij Willem III voor een feestelijk diner, de perfecte manier om het seizoen af te ronden.
De sfeer was warm en vriendelijk, vol met gelach en verhalen over de races, alles begeleid door heerlijk eten en drinken. Het was een passend einde van een ongelooflijke reis.

Vanaf de begindagen van de training tot de spanning van de competitie: de hele ervaring was 100% de moeite waard.
Iedereen die erover denkt om volgend jaar mee te doen aan de Regiowedstrijden, raden we ten zeerste aan om de sprong te wagen!
