Zaterdag 3/10 grote vlot niet beschikbaar ivm de Jeugdestafette

Zaterdagmiddag 3 oktober wordt de Willem III Jeugdestafette verroeid. Een groot aantal ploegen van verenigingen uit het hele land doet mee. De wedstrijd start vanaf 13.00 uur en elke 2 minuten daarna start er een volgende ploeg.

Om de vertrek- en finishprocedure glad te laten verlopen, is het grote vlot vanaf 12.00 uur tot binnenkomst van de laatste ploeg NIET BESCHIKBAAR voor andere ploegen dan deelnemers (skiffs) aan de Jeugdestafette. Ook zijn de loodsen A & B vanaf 12:00 uur AFGESLOTEN en kan er dus niet gevaren worden in de boten (8+, 4*/+, C4* , Lite 1x) die in die loodsen liggen.

Vanaf 12:00 uur: klaarleggen deelnemende boten, op volgorde van startnummer.
Om 13:00 uur: eerste start
Om ongeveer 14:30 (of later, afhankelijk van het aantal deelnemende ploegen): laatste finish.

Ten behoeve van de wedstrijd zullen er ook een aantal boeien in het water worden gelegd.  Op vrijdag zullen de wissel vlotten al op hun plek gelegd worden. Zie hieronder het parcour. Tevens wordt eenieder verzocht rekening te houden met de wedstrijd (van Willem III tot de Grote Bocht en terug) gedurende de genoemde uren, en eventuele aanwijzingen van de wedstrijdleiding stipt op te volgen. Het start- en finishpunt is gelegen in de loods direct achter het grote vlot. U wordt verzocht rekening te houden met hardlopende (sprintende) deelnemers naar en  van hun boten, het gaat tenslotte om hun tijd.

Saturday 3 October: large pontoon unavailable due to the Youth Relay.

The Willem III Youth Relay will take place on the afternoon of Saturday, October 3rd. A large number of crews from clubs across the country are participating. The race begins at 1:00 PM, with subsequent crews starting every two minutes thereafter.

To ensure the start and finish procedures run smoothly, the large pontoon will be UNAVAILABLE to any crews other than Youth Relay participants from 12:00 PM until the final crew has finished. Additionally, boathouses A and B will be CLOSED from 12:00 PM; consequently, the boats stored there (8+, 4*/+, C4*, Lite 1x) cannot be used.

From 12:00 PM: Preparation of participating boats, arranged by start number.
1:00 PM: First start.
Approximately 2:30 PM (or later, depending on the number of participating crews): Final finish.

A number of buoys will be placed in the water for the race. The exchange pontoons will be positioned on Friday. Please see the course map below. Everyone is requested to be mindful of the race (running from Willem III to the ‘Grote Bocht’ bend and back) during the specified hours and to strictly follow any instructions given by race officials. The start and finish point is located in the boathouse directly behind the large pontoon. Please be aware of participants running (sprinting) to and from their boats; after all, their race times are at stake.
