W3 Lentetocht (Vogalonga)

Dit jaar gaan we met de Lentetocht naar Venetië. In totaal roeien 34 W3-ers de Vogalonga (wat ‘lange tocht’ betekent). Het is een 28 kilometer lang roei-evenement dat sinds 1974 elk jaar op Pinksterzondag wordt gehouden. De route gaat door de lagune en door de oude stad over het Canal Grande en is ontstaan als protest tegen de vele vervuilende motorvaartuigen die de lagunestad dagelijks teisteren. Het is een onvergetelijke ervaring.

Sunday, May 24th, 2026 W3 Spring Tour, Vogalonga

This year, we are going to Venice for the Spring Tour. A total of 34 W3 members will be rowing the Vogalonga (which means “long tour”). It is a 28-kilometer rowing event that has been held every year on Pentecost Sunday in Venice since 1974. The route goes through the lagoon and the old city via the Grand Canal and was created as a protest against the many polluting motorboats that plague the lagoon city every day. It is an unforgettable experience.
